Dubai, UAE, xx September 2024 Following the decision by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security to grant a grace period for regularizing the status of those violating the country’s foreign entry and residency regulations, and to exempt them from financial penalties and administrative restrictions, the Rental Dispute Center (RDC) in Dubai, along with its officials, expressed their pleasure with this generous initiative and their full support for it. This comes under the wise leadership’s directives, which has always been committed to providing all services that enable every segment of the UAE community to live in prosperity and happiness, while respecting the law.
This campaign reflects the highest forms of tolerance and social compassion in our beloved Emirates, a message embodied by all its entities and institutions, foremost among them RDC. The center aims to support any initiative or decision that serves the interests of both citizens and residents, ensuring they all enjoy a flexible legal environment. It also remains committed to backing efforts that promote the social and economic security and stability that the nation enjoys. This initiative is but a glimpse of the UAE's long-standing history of humanitarian initiatives.
H.E. Judge Abdelqader Moussa Mohamed, Chairman of RDC in Dubai, praised the decision of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security, stating: “The decision to grant violators a grace period to regularize their status is not only an opportunity for them but also an exceptional opportunity for the state. This initiative contributes to providing a flexible legal environment that enhances social and economic security and stability in the country. It also highlights the civilizational face and humanitarian identity of our beloved Emirates and reflects its well-known commitment to the stability and well-being of residents, ensuring they live a safe and stable life. This, in turn, strengthens the UAE's distinguished position both regionally and globally."
In this regard, H.E. expressed his strong support for this initiative, noting its positive impact on violators affected by rental disputes and judicial rulings issued by RDC, particularly those who have had arrest warrants issued against them during the grace period specified by the authority. These individuals can benefit from the decision by submitting a request through the approved electronic channels at the center to follow up on the arrest warrant, which prevents them from regularizing their status. This process will enable them to correct their situation. However, this does not include travel ban decisions, as they will not be able to leave the country in such cases.
RDC supports government initiatives in response to the directives of the wise leadership, which has always been committed to providing all services that enable every segment of the UAE community to live in prosperity and happiness, while respecting for the law.
